Trading Stocks: Getting Started

By docsmith on December 6th, 2011

If you have recently expressed a desire to learn how to trade stocks, there are some things to do to get started in the right direction. First, determine how much money you have to invest in trading stocks. It is highly advisable to separate the money you invest with from the money you depend on for living expenses.

Then you need to open an account with a stock brokerage firm. Do some research and find the firm that best fits your needs; including the software and stock charting program. Also, verify the stock brokerage firm has a good inventory of shorts available. You will want to virtually trade stocks for a minimum of the first ninety days, so verify the brokerage firm has a demo trial period as well.
